(Solon, OH) — September 3, 2016 — Kanan Enterprises announces the voluntary recall of Southern Grove Cashews with Sea Salt due to possible presence of peanuts. People who have an allergy to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No adverse reactions have been reported associated with this recall.

The only item that is affected by this recall is Southern Grove Cashews With Sea Salt, a 10 ounce stand up pouch bag with a UPC 0 41498 18992 1 and a date code of Best By May 24 2017 KN and Best By AUG 05 2017 KN . No other products or date codes are affected. We shipped this product to Ohio and Kansas. Our customer shipped some of the product to Minnesota.

(Solon, OH) — March 10, 2016 — Kanan Enterprises announces the voluntary recall of natural in shell pistachios due to potential contamination with salmonella. Our third party supplier who makes this product has asked us to issue this recall because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

The only item that is affected by this recall is Favorites Natural Pistachios, a 4.5 ounce stand up pouch bag with a UPC 0 38445 12286 5 and a date code of 15 Feb 2017 and 16 Feb 2017. No other products or dates are affected. This product was distributed nationally through convenience stores.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Kanan Enterprises announces the voluntary recall of macadamia nuts due to potential contamination with salmonella. The supplier of the macadamia nuts has asked us to issue this recall because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.

Peterson’s Macadamias in 16 ounce stand up pouches, were distributed only through the Peterson Nut Store in Cleveland, Ohio and King Nut Factory outlet in Solon, Ohio. The product was sold between 11/26/14 and 3/27/15. A list of affected products and code dates is listed below:
